I wanted a dependable tool for researching markets and planning medium-term positions, without a large monthly fee. So I built one.
After using it every day, it felt complete enough to share. The free version covers most everyday charting, with no tracking and no account needed to start.
Intraday data and long history carry licensing costs. Patron passes cover those costs and support development, at a fraction of the usual price.

Before you start
Does Charting Desk place trades?
No. It is charting and analysis software only. It does not connect to a broker, place orders or hold funds, and you cannot buy or sell anything here.
Is Charting Desk free?
Yes. You can chart without an account. A free account adds five years of history, watchlists, alerts and saved workspaces. Patron is optional.
Where does the data come from?
Stocks, ETFs, indices and commodities are end-of-day from a licensed vendor; forex uses daily reference rates; crypto is live from Binance. Patron adds intraday US stock and ETF data. Every chart shows its source.
Does Patron renew automatically?
No. Patron is a pass for 30 days or one year. Nothing renews, so there is nothing to cancel. The one-year pass is fully refundable within 14 days.
What happens to my data?
No analytics, no telemetry and no ads. Charts and settings are stored on your device. An account holds your email address, preferences and plan. If you turn on cloud backup, an encrypted copy of your desk is stored as well.
Does it work on a phone?
It opens on a phone for a quick look at a chart. Scanners, multi-pane layouts and drawing tools need a wider screen.
Is this investment advice?
No. Charting Desk is analysis software. Automatic markings and setup ideas describe what a chart shows; they are not recommendations, signals or advice.
